This week, HHS named the final two Regional Extension Centers (CalOptima & Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative) to complete a national network of organizations that will help physicians, clinics, and hospitals move from paper-based to digital record-keeping. REC’s were created under last year’s HITECH Act and will “target their assistance to eligible primary care providers in smaller practices as well as small and rural hospitals and public health clinics.” Find more of the who’s, where’s, why’s, when’s and what’s here.
