Yes, most VCS-followers know that the company has again ranked in several, prominent, HIT listings for 2010. Our success as measured by Inc.Magazine, Heathcare Informatics, and the Wharton Small Business Development Center (Philly 100)are tributes to the sound business judgment espoused by the Leadership Team.
And while sound business judgment garners us industry accolades, it’s not what being VCS is all about. The Leadership team has long encouraged philanthropy wherever we go.
Recently, after having attended Epic’s UGM, we left Verona, WI having donated $600 to Second Harvest Foodbank of Madison.
This week at CHIME10 in Chandler, Arizona, VCS sponsored “Build A Bike” for CHIME’s “Giving Back” event. CHIME’s Fred Bazzoli blogged the immediate “feelings” of the interaction between CIO’s and Native American children.
So while we feel pretty good for those awards conferred upon us by Industry pundits, we feel best when we leave a place a little bit better than when we arrived.
