The GOP re-ascendance to congressional power has tongues wagging over the future of ObamaCare and even HITECH/ARRA. Extremists like senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell took an opportunity to vow the death of the PPACA. Pundits have vacillated between writing the policy’s obituary to lamenting the expected congressional grid-lock that would stall any progress or repeal.
Can you say we’ve been here before? Déjà’ vu, all over again.
Regardless which side of the aisle you sit on, the inexorable march toward healthcare reform will continue. Mark Twain’s famous utterance, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated” can be reasonably applied to healthcare reform in Republican hands.
